So last week i finally completed my blacktop Sr swap into my S13. I had several problems starting the car because where i bought the motor from they gave me the wrong computer twice. I tried two different J4 computers and it wasnt working out for me. I finally got a E5 computer and the motor is running well.

the idle is smooth as hell. no hesitation when driving the car.

at idle the fuel pressure was about 43 psi. never had a chance to see it under load.

but my problem is that when accelerating after a certain rpm it seems like there is little boost pressure getting put out and as if the engine just doesn't want to put out any more horsepower.

as for now i still haven't had a chance to put on any gauges to monitor everything as far as boost pressure, fuel pressure, or oil pressure. so i dont know what is happening yet. will be getting them soon but till then

is there anyone who has experienced this before???

i was thinking the problem could be that either the fuel pressure regulator was not working right or maybe it isn't getting the right vacuum??

Try hooking up a vacuum source. You should see 36psi.

The fpr could be bad. I replaced my stock one w/ a nismo adjustable one. Works fine.

While you're at it, clean the maf, and the check maf wiring.

thanks for the input. i took the car out for a nice long test drive last night and all night it was running nice and smooth.

(other than the main problem im having )

i will check that line tho, its supposed to be seeing 36 psi off of the FPR, right

what about under load? like 4500 rpm. it should vary right?

What sucks is that i just did the swap so as always im broke all the stock gauges work except for the rpm'sso when it feels like the fuel is being cut off i can't see at what rpm range im at. hopefully in the next couple of days i will be able to get some nice and well needed gauges
