Just as the title says, I'm hitting a fuel cut in third gear. I can rev the motor all the way to red line in first and second. But for some reason as soon as I hit third the motor won't rev over 5000. The funny thing is that a couple of weeks ago I dyno'd in third gear all the way up to red line. It made 218hp and 242 ft. pounds of torque. I'm running a stock red top, downpipe only, and a Blitz BOV that isn't recirculated. Also, if makes any difference, nonoe of the sensors on the trans are hookup yet. Any help would greatly be appreciated!

Sounds like to me the 5th gear rev limitor is hitting in 3rd for some reason. Could be some safety thing that the car automatically does? Anyway, i'd check your transmission wiring for problems.

I didn't hook up any of the sensors on the trans yet. I'm using a SR trans. This trans only has three sensors right (reverse, neutral, and the speed sensor)? Can I hook the speed sensor up directly to the eccs? I think that the wiring diagrams that I have show the speed sensor going into the speedo first and then to the eccs. Guess I should check the ecu if it is throwing any codes that are related to this.

The fuel pump should be fine. I could dyno in thrid gear with out any problems. Also, if the fuel pump wasn't pumping enough fuel, wouldn't the motor be leaning out in all of the gears?
