SR20DET from Australia or not
Just curious as I have never seen this before.
On my Main Bearing Beam on my Sr20DET - there is a little kangaroo - does this mean this SR came from down under?
Here is a pic

I just did about an hour of searching and no body can clearly find the meaning of that marking. I did however find a australian sr20det link "autospeed" (posted part of the article) that states they didnt see rwd sr20's marketed until the s14 200sx was introduced sometime around 1994. Maybe Nissan had/ has parts manufactured in australia?
"The S14 was the first vehicle to bring the SR20DET into Australia. The Australian-spec S14 (badged a 200SX) uses a smaller turbocharger and a more conservative ECU tune. Peak power is slashed to 147kW and peak torque is 265Nm.
Japanese S14 SRs are becoming quite common in the Japanese wreckers and Australian versions (which produce significantly less power) can be found in crashed 200SXs. Go for the Japanese version if you have the chance."

Both of my sr's pulled from halfcuts from japan have that on them. I too was wandering what it meant.
