sr20det engine swap questions

i am doing a engine swat on a nissan 240sx from a ka24de to sr20det and the car wont start bec. i only have spark on coils 1 and 3 i know that all the coil packs are good bec. i swapped them and they all fire ok. i have checked continuity, power and ground on all wiring to the coil packs and havent found any problems. does any one have any info on what sensor gives signal to trigger the coilpacks.
