There are three types of S13 SR's.Redtop used 62/63 ECU and had a skinny-type o2 sensor on the turbo outlet.
Blacktop used an E5/E6 ECU and had a fat-type o2 sensor. Aside from the black valvecover, it also has cooling fins on the front of the head. Has 54c pistons (supposedly stronger), a better oil pickup, and a different AC compressor.
The above two SR ECU's are interchangable for the most part. Different o2 sensors can cause rich condition but isn't terribly bad.
Blacktop Type-X used a J4 ECU. Pinouts were different and J4 ECU will not work other S13 SR's unlesss repinned (and vice-versa).
