I had a daughter board setup with with stepped limits on a map switcher and later on a Nistune ECU. It was nice to have consult early on without having to have Nistune and the rev limiters are much better on the sr ecu. Standard SR maps were better suited for a modified CA18DET intake with larger throttle body and turbo. Had the ability for 4 maps which was nice for my E85 setup.Just thought I would post it here since I recently purchased microtech LT12s for 45psi/12,000rpm and posted my old setup for sale check my for sale post

Anyone else done this setup?

Ya I no mega is cheaper but it to my knowledge is not plug and play yet.You don't have the support like you do with Nistune or plms etc.You dont get the factory starting, partial throttle and cruise drivability. You cant switch 4 maps on the fly(if you have switcher and daughter board)

Factory retuned ECU is better for I would say 90% of the people out there who don't want or need to make more the 400 to 500hp

As far as My price it is obo but you do get Igniter, MAF, ECU, Harness w/ consult/resistor box and plug and play for the CA18DET That took several hours and a wasted CA harness.I called a importer and that was the price he gave me for a standard ECU Harness Igniter and MAFI had really good luck with the SR boarded ECU with the switcher as I run E85 but on long trips I would switch back to pump gas and made switching easy. The thing ran like a factory car easy to drive no weird partial throttle hesitations or bucking.I only went Microtech as I am know tuning for beyond the 550 hp range and AEM was my other choice but now I dont need plug and play or closed loop so for $600 cheaper the microtech was my choice
