I just rebuilt my sr I ported and polished my head and have crower titanium springs and retainers. I have an tuned ecu and a stock one the tuned is setup for 550s and a 2871r. With both ecu's a code 55 is thrown which my friend says is the all clear code but looking at the code book it looks like it is another code use dia-port. But my friends car throws the 55 code and runs fine. My car idles fine at +- 800rpm and is the second mark from the right on the base timing. When I try to drive the car the motor hesitates and does not want to go kind of feels like the same problem I had with my KADE when i blew my brake booster line, I checked for vaccume leaks and found none. Also my wideband reads 14.8 at idle if anyone has an idea let me know thanks.

Um... It's suppose to be 2nd mark from the left..

I thought the second mark from the left was to stab the cas and the second mark from the right was where you wanted your base timing at??

You're right.. My bad. According to Nissan, code 55 requires a consult cable. My theory on it is that since most people wouldn't check for codes unless something is wrong, it throws a 55 when no other codes are being thrown...

yeah your timing is fine for a close to stock setting elsewhere.

Getting a code 55 has only ruled out that it is nothing within the ECU, so you may be looking at something mechanical. First step I would take is drive the car and get a reading on your lambda to see what it does throughout the RPM band.

Ya i thought it was either a bad maf so i switched it out with another one and I had the same problem so I went to the parts store and got some starting fluid and sprayed arround all of my couplers manifold and s*** and the idle didnt increase. But I guess i will test everything again and see where im at
