SR20DET, dont have one, need one

hey, i just want to know if its worth buying an sr. i here so many good things about it, but i dont know if its worth shelling out the 2000 bucks. somebody please convince me to buy this engine and maybe a place where i can get a good deal on one thanx.

how about throwing $2000.00 at the KA? that would cover a full rebuild and at least a set of forged pistons. You shell out that money on an SR and you still have an old engine. One with more potential but still old.

It was worth it to me. Of course the main reason I didn't go turbo KA was because my block had a fist sized hole in it.

you have to realize it will cost way more then 2000 to do an sr swap. Factor in atleast 5 grand to do a ****ty job.

SR20DET Redtop, transmission, ecu, ignitor chip, etc, with uncut harness for a decent price. Their website is currently out of date, but TND240 will help you out. Comes from Quebec, Canada... offers local pickups too

ride4lame, please explain how it will run over $5k if you can get EVERYTHING you possibly need for $2500usd ?

yeah hole in the block could definantly put a damper on things. How about a 300ZX motor? Nodody ever talks about that swap

yea 2000 for a rebuilt ka plus everything else..go sr i did never look back(well till i get it running atleast)

search away my friend, info is everywhere, u gonna swap it? $2000 for motor, theres a billion other things u COULD do but dont need to, and u have a 91 so u dont need any ac or ps crap, btw, get the motor, its sick, ull love it, and girls love it too
