Not bad times at all, and quite the nice setup..but why? it IS original but those little rotaries are pretty sweet too...I guess one nice thing would be better reliablility out of the SR20

Looks good, nice times. Is the car a daily driver? I notice theres not much room for radiator rans. Does it run pretty hot with the turbo in that location?

I'm still throwing around the idea of putting a 13b in my 240. If I do that, we could be like quasi-car brothers or something.:freak

Last pass we cut a 1.6 60ft, but blew the head gasket before the 1/8th mile. However, we still managed to run 7.1@89mph which would have been a 10sec pass. We went ahead and installed the HKS step 2 264DEG cams along with Greddy head gasket and head studs. We are heading to Reynolds, GA tomorrow looking for 10's. I guess our new claim will be 10sec on a stock bottom end!

You can see that on the previous pass the car went7.202 @ 100.75 mph and the pass resulted in an 11.1

Therefore, assuming the car pulled the same on the topend, we only need to knock off .1sec. The car popped before the 1/8th we still ran .1 sec faster in the 1/8th. If the head gasket had not blown it would have been a 10.9 pass.

In fears of sounding like a newbie w/o doing a quick search... how much modification was required to drop in the sr in there? I'm guessing the mounting points don't exactly line up. What does that swap do to the weight distribution to the car? I know the rotary is a "smaller" engine, how much heavier is the sr?

hmm. not bad. the rx7 is smart choice because it has one of the best power to weight down. a rotary s13/s14 would be cool but i dont think that would fly with most. its kinda like the arguement in the domestic world; you can put a chevy engine in a ford but not a ford engine in a chevy. its just right. haha. i love rednecks sometimes. lol.

If your gonna put a rotary in a 240 I deffinetly second the 20b ideal.

would only cost you about $10,000 for the complete install.
