SR20DET Cylinders not all firing.

so i swapped an SR20DET into a 1990 S13, buuut for some reason cylinders 2 and 4 are not firing. its not the coils or the plugs. i was thinking maybe the ignitor chip but my friend said that if that was messed up than none of the cylinders would probably work. i tried searching the other forums but i could find anyone with the same problem. anyone have any ideas? id really appreciate it.

Well its either a injector or a plug or coil. Since your sure its not the last two then look at the injectors. Your friend is right, If you had a bad power transistor that bank with the bad one would not fire. Check out the service manual if you need more help: http://nicoclub.com/FSM.

well we checked the injectors and the coils i know its not them, what do you think the chances are that its just a bad ecu?

i have all the ones i can see hooked up, i only saw one that was close to the coils, anyone know if thats the only one thats right there? i wouldnt be surprised if theres another one that im missing. my harness was pretty sliced up when i got it.

I would run codes too. that might make it a lot easier to find your problem.

I am having pretty much the exact same problem, except only my #1 is firing! I put an s14a sr20det into my s13 as well. I am getting spark on all 4, and i have fuel :S What could be the problem!?

could be you have the #2 and #4 coil wires swapped . firing order is 1342 so it makes sense

I have anoter ecu coming cause im thinking it might be that, and i got the company to agree to send me another one if i send this one back. and im gonna be getting another harness cause the one that i got was all kinds of sliced up so hopefully those things will fix the problem.
