Hi, I usually don't make many threads here, but I noticed when I'm drifting and holding the gas a full throttle through a turn for a few seconds all of a sudden the engine just stops going.
It doesn't break up and backfire or anything, basically it's just like I completely let off the throttle, yet I'm still holding it to the floor.
Then I will straighten out and a second or 2 later I will get throttle responce again.
:wtf2:

Oh and my block is fully built, head is stock, turbo is stock at 14 psi, stock tune.

Well, it's some kind of fuel cut.

On my old single slammer, sometimes if I was going uphill at a high speed and had to really step on it for a period of time, it would also do this. It also did this once or twice under full throttle from a dead stop/going through the gears.

It's somewhat of a common problem on sohcs from what I hear, but I've never heard of it on an SR. From what I've been told it could be things like.

- Bad ECU that triggers fuel cut
- Inaccurate speed sensor reading
- Rev limiter misreading

I mean, it could be a bunch of different things. But what was weird about my car is that it would sometimes do it on the street, but when I went to the track and beat the s*** out of it, it somehow never happened, not once.

When i first read this the first things that jumped out is that you're running 14psi on a stock tune. Stock for an SR is 7psi so 14 might be too big of a jump for your ecu to compensate for when you're beating the hell out of the car.

Oooo didn't read that, lol.

I'm assuming you're using your stock injectors so that very well could be your reason. I'm surprised your turbo hasn't gone yet. 14psi is pushing it on a factory SR t25.

yeah, maybe that's the reason then. I've been running 14 pounds for a while now, never really had an issue (unless this is a problem from that right now.)

yeah 14 lbs on a stock T-25 im assuming? That is definitely maxing out your injectors.

Not only is it maxing out injectors, it's also pushing the turbo to it's limits. The ceramic blades start to blow apart at 14+ lbs.

Taxin your stock fuel injectors and turbo at 14 PSI for so long they are starting to give, When you enter the drift and put the extra G-Force on the engine it effects the fuel delivery... Just my 2 cents... I would say try dropin the boost and seeing what happens (that is if you are running some kind of boost controller and didn't replace the wastegate spring to up the boost), it will help increse you A/F raito and your car wont lean out in the drift, assuming that's what's happening... If that's the case time for new Injectors and probably a new turbo.

Amazing Turbo upgrade, It's what I'm running on my SR, You send in your turbo and get it back looking brand new.

Deatschwerks Injectors are great injectors, I went with the 550s and my wideband has yet to go to the lean side. (high boost for me is just under 17PSI, I could go more but there is no need)

Thanks for the recommendation 240.

Does it do it in the same situation everytime? ...or does it happen later in the day or early in the day?
