sr20det coolant leaking under water pump??

someone tell me what this bolt is for because im pretty darn sure thats what is leaking coolant from my engine but i dont wanna try pulling it out if its not that. has this happend to anyone before i searched and found another thread with this same picure up but it was back in jun and noone knew what the damn thing was. i left a post asking if anyone figured it out but no one replied and i need to get this thing fixed asap. somone please help.

You know that water pumps leak from a hole underneath when they go bad right?

yeh its called a weep hole i dont think its coming from there it may be possable but this is a fresh swap and i didnt have the car running when i put coolant in and left the car over night and went out to the garage to find a pool of coolant.

That thread was started by me after replacing my pump with a new one from Phase2 and still found it leaking.

It turned out they sent me a faulty OEM pump (1:100000000 chance I'm sure). I bought another OEM waterpump from Phase2 after being left with a paperweight and all problems were solved.

The bolt circled in the picture is there to fill in a hole used in the manufacturing process, coolant won't be leaking out of it.

Replace your waterpump and you'll be good to go.

I have an s13 sr20det waterpump, it seems to be fine, and pretty new. I changed all maintenance parts on my block and have this one. $35 shipped.Came out of a blacktop with 40 000 miles.

35 sounds awsome but id rather have a brand new one even if i have to pay around $80 i just dont want to be cheap with this motor. thanks though ill look around town and see if anyone else needs one and ill send them your way.

actually ill take that water pump i was thinkin about it and i might as well get it so i can at least drive the car and then ill get a new one. do you have paypal?? if so what is it and how fast can u get it shipped to 32908?
