sr20det coolant blowing up. pressure problem "x" ???

Hello there

240sx 91, swap sr20det

3 times I seem to have problems that bring me to the same.

a buddy said"heater hoses are on backwards or some coolant lines arent right on back of motoror bad rad cap"

2 times, radiator blew up. a got a new one alluminium, well done.the hoses blew up, came appart.there was coolant all around.

I've got no clue whats going on, I think It could not be the hoses being loose, but something thats causin some TOO MUCH pressure.what could cause this pressure?

ill be honest with you i dont know much about the thermostate but when i changed mine over to a nismo i forgot to look and see if it was in the right dirrection and im yet to run the car due to other things. anyways do you think its possible mabe your thermostate is on crooked causing the fluid to build pressure until it explodes and escapes? but like i said cooling systems are not my specialty

Yes, we've thought bout the thermostat and we're checking it tomorrow.It could be a chance, I HOPPE thats it cuz if not its gonna be way more complex and i hope i dont have to do that.

n/p man yeh that engine is done now it was burning oil so i threw in an sr20det ill have some pix of it on here some time but they are on my myspace if you have one http://www.myspace.com/despite_your_lies check it out as for the thermostate thats prolly your best bet. i hope you get that **** fixed.. good luck man
