sr20det compression test

I saw a sr20det blacktop engine with 30k mile on it, and the compression test were 145, 145, 145, 143 there was also a redtop sr20det for sale 43k miles but it had higher compression 152, 150, 150, 150, is it normal for a newer engine to have lower compression than an older one? Whats the normal compression for an new blacktop sr20det engine?

Of course that's normal. If the blacktop has more kilometers on it or was abused more than the redtop I don't see why it wouldn't make sense.

Which on looks more reliable, should i get the redtop or the blacktop?

If everything else between the two are in similair condition i'd probably go with the redtop.
