Hey guys quick question for those of you with sr20 motors.

I recently picked up a 95 240 with a s13 blacktop. It has an ACT stage 2 clutch in it. I don't know to much about clutches but I have had an ACT stage 2 in my lancer and it was very stiff and engaged right when you started releasing the clutch.

Now on this 240 I have to release the peddle about 75% before it engages and i have very little clutch to play with, very tough to drive this car smooth. Can anyone explain to me the issue and how can I fix it? Maybe a new clutch? I tried to search but couldn't find anything, thanks in advance.

Well I had a stage 2 ACT on my KA24DE and it engaged like the one in your Lancer, right after release.

Right that's why I know this is not normal. Does anyone have any possible solutions or perhaps know why it is like this? Sorry I'm not a mechanic, just a guy looking for some help.

if its grabbing, its not the actual clutch. you can adjust the clutch pedal, there is a little rod that goes through the firewall with a nut on it.
