hey guys, i just bought a koukie with a s14 sr20det black top with the follwing stuff

Black 1998 Nisszan 240SX with a S14 SR20DET swap.Brian Crower cams, valvesprings, and retainers. Cometic head gasket and ARP head studs.Megan Racing coilovers, O2 sensor housing, downpipe and testpipe.HKS 85mm Hi-Power catback exhaust and SSQ blow-off valve.Greddy front-mount intercooler, and boost controller. boost controller does not work. APEXi SAFC NEO - not working... it just flips through screens

anyway.... i been driving it for a month... on the 3rd week, someone told me i had piston slap...... not sure what that is, or how i can tell.... then just today, my car starts to die when rpm tries to go back to idle. for example, i would be driving in 2nd, and when stopping at a red light i go back to neutral and the rpm goes below 850 and tries to die, unless i rev. today, i was on the highway going about 65, and went to netural , and car died. pulled over and car would not start until like the 5th try 5 mins later. any suggestion? does "piston slap" effect this? thanks in advance guys!

check to see if ur car has black smoke coming out of the exhaust. u might be running rich causing the car to want to die unless revved. its a common problem when people swap sr's. if u do, then its more than likely a boost leak. on a different note, if u do in fact have piston slap get that looked at, it could have disasterous effects.
