I've heard about a dozen theories about where I should set up my cams. They useually say somthing allong the lines of putting the exhaust cam (the dot on the cam gear specifically) from 12:30-2:00 and the intake at about 10:00. The theory I tried was putting the dowel pin in the exhaust cam at 12:00 and then counting back 20 links on the belt and sticking the intake cam on that link (which puts it right about 10:00). The thing is the car really dosn't feel a whole lot faster and the idle lumps a little more than I think it should, so I'm not really 100% sure that this is right. Anybody else have a theory about how I should set this up? BTW all my "O'clock" guestimates are in relation to the head (since the motor is slightly laid on it's side in the engine compartment).
thanks,
Paul
