sr20det breaking up under heavy throttle

Just reciently put an sr20 in my s13...it just started cutting out under heavy throttle...its completely stock...i still have the stock fuel pump...any suggestions?..is the stock pump my problem cause ive heard of a similar problem with sr20s w/upgraded fuel pump...its really starting to piss me off. it also revs fine up to about 4k then it takes the rpms forever to climb, thats if im running the rpms up like a grandma of course. the problem seemed like it wasnt that bad untill today....any help would be much appreciated.

Cam angle sensor...check that. my buddies was doing the same. another guy is having the same prob. my buddy replaced that...car runs like a champ now. so...test that...give it a try.

how do i test it?

Give me more info on what you are running as far as a setup. If you are running ANY increase in boost you need to replace the fuel pump immediately or you can risk engine failure.
