Here's the deal just got done installing a new head and tomei 1.2 head gasket and after running to full temp I noticed I had greyish white smoke coming out of the exhaust only on acceleration though no smoke or anything at idle it runs fine its still responsive it idles smooth it dosent over heat as far as the stock temp gauge is telling me I did a compression test on my cylinder all were my numbers were 155, 160, 164, 162 and as far as I know that within good levels I torqued my arp studs to 90lbs as recommended in box so where should I start look for the problem could it be my turbo or my head gasket cause I took my radiator cap off and let it idle no bubbles at idle but if I rev it some bubbles come up and the water fills up and over flows the head gasket is brand new can I still use it and should I remove my head again and redo it over any advice or input would be awesome thanks all HELP PLZZZZ !!

Longest sentence ever.

Drain the oil and coolant - check for contamination of both.

What's the exhaust smell like on acceleration? What's your AFR under load?

"Greyish-whitish" smoke - how much? Does it linger or dissipate fast?

Sorry for the long sentence I was in a hurry but its not a whole lot of smoke and it dissipates fast it dosent linger wot my afr is around 10.5 sometimes but mostly low 11's , mid throttle im at like 13 and 14 .I have checked my oil it still looks like new oil opened the radiator to watch the bubbles and they aren't discolred . Could it possibly just be leaking into just one cylinder I do notice when I rev it up my temp gauge jumps around a bit as well .

Also it starts right up every time and for the most part it seems to run pretty good it doesn't shake or knock the engine its self is quiet I got a lifter tapping but I'm not to worry about that I'm trying to figure out this smoking issue first

Removing the rad cap and revving won't tell you anything. Top off the coolant, bleed the system, and leave it alone.

Temp gauge is jumping around because you keep taking the cap off. :) Cavitation at the pump + not full system = air pockets at the temp sensor.

If you're not seeing oily refraction atop the water level, I wouldn't sweat it.

Look up "9000-rpm SR20 head" on Google for a great article on SR head work (for your lifter issue).

Ok ill do that but whats ur speculations on the smoking could it still be burning excess crap the car was sitting for like 2 months or so ? And the lifter I know how to fix I referenced some of my build by that article .

Update I just bled my cooliant system and found that I have a pin hole in my radiator would that cause the bubbles in my radiator when I rev ? And I also noticed that a full temp the grey smoke is gone but there is a faint bit of blue smoke not a lot though .so should I be stressing about my HG possibly leaking or is it a possibility ?

Who knows. Hell, you could have a dead rat in the muffler. :)

Yep. Cooling system needs to be 100% sealed. Fix radiator first.

Blue smoke is oil - Compression can be good, but still have oil going past the rings. You have a properly-functioning PCV system?

The PVC is in the rear corner if the valve cover then yea that work but my tee pipe is open in the front will that be a problem . I don't think it would be the rings though ,when I parked the car it didnt smoke so would it be my turbo getting ready to blow or the head I just put on it I did put tomei poncams in it and the valves where adjusted to 3mm .
