sr20det Black top turbo boost

I was wondering how much boost you could run into a SR20det engine before you have to start changing to custom interal engine parts? I am not asking how high of a boost can a stock Sr20 turbo run. if anyone can answer my question that would be cool.

Your question is too broad. Not as much how much boost but how & who has tuned your ECU. The stock bottom end has seen as much as 600 horse power. I don't know about on a daily basis though. Obviously if you bang on it every day it will not last as long. I haven't really heard (on the forums) of people running anymore with built blocks then they are with stock blocks.

Even a built block with improper tuning will give out easily. You should not have to upgrade the internals if you are planning to run under 400whp on a daily basis with an excellent tune. As long as you are not abusing it everytime you drive it.
