I was wondering how much boast you could run into a SR20det engine before you have to start changing to custom interal engine parts? like pistons and conection arms.

I am not asking how high of a boast can a stock Sr20 turbo run.

if anyone can answer my question that would be cool.

S13 SR20DET:The stock turbo will be safe to 13-15 psi._ After that, the turbo is past its efficiency range, and power increases will fall off and are not worth the risk of turbo damage.__ The engine should produce 230-250 RWHP at safe boost.

S14 SR20DET:The stock turbo will be safe to 13-15 psi._ After that, the turbo is past its efficiency range, and power increases will fall off and are not worth the risk of turbo damage.__ The engine should produce 250-260 RWHP at safe boost.

I have never said this but try a search first. Short answer is some recently hit about 600hp uncorrected on a stock block but good luch reaching that goal. Tell us your goal and maby some one could gould make some suggestions.

too many variables. if your tuning is awesome you could get 600 on a good day like someone has posted dyno charts for. but i also seem to think that plenty of people have destroyed engines with lots less power(boost) by doing it under poor tuning conditions.
