SR20DET Black Top Autmatic.

I'm thinking about ploping an SR20DET with the Auto into my 96 SE Auto. Has anyone done this, and is the transmission the same transmission that is hooked up to my KA?

It's a front clip, and I really do not want to do the whole auto to 5 speed conversion.

If i understand you get the SR20 together with a transmission...

Yes, I can get the front clip, which has the automatic allready. Although it is more work to do the manual conversion over as well, perhaps that would be in my best interest? If i go with the Manual Trans, will i need to find a different driveline, or will the one that I have on the Automatic work?

the auto will be just fine if thats what you want. the 5spd swap is not too hard when you are already putting in the new trans. jsut have to drill holes for the clutch pedal and master cylinder. then get a 5spd driveshaft (abs or non-abs depending on your car), hardline from master cylinder to slave and the slave if it isnt on the transmission. sounds like alot but its not. also need interior trim

auto's really arent too bad, epecially if you are into drag racing
