Car: spending too much money on my cars.

I have a 95sr20det with an auto transmission. My tps seems to be shot. Shifting weird at times. It won't down shift at times and shift really earlier. Other times it works perfectly. My ecu is displaying a tps code. I've checked the ohms and voltage. The voltage is way off and when I check the ohms by closing and open the throttle the reading seem to be showing the opposite of what the manual shows. The manual lists 0.7ohms completely released I'm seeing 4.45ohms. Completely depressed 5 ohms I'm seeing 1.01ohms. The manual for the voltage suggests 0.35-0.65v, I'm seeing .045v. Do I have the wrong measurement perimeters for testing the TBS? I got my info.from a manual which states 200sx/s14. It has a yellow and green silvia on the first page. I have not tried to adjust the tps yet, I didn't want to make things any worse. I read in the sticky part swaps section that I can use a 95 ka tps in place of my Sr oem unit with some soldering. Has anyone actually done this? Does anyone know which wires from the sr harness need to be wired to the correct wires from the ka's tps? I'm trying to get a price on a oem part for the sr tps but I'm having trouble finding someone who can do this.

Sorry I don't have an answer to your question, but I would like to know your opinion of the auto sr20det. What do you have in it? Was it a straight drop like the 5spd sr20det? Anything you needed to change out? Was your car an auto to begin with? Sorry for so many questions, but its rare for me to find a person who has an auto sr20det. I'm thinking about doing this project soon so I'm trying to get as much research done.

My car was an auto to start with. I had someone install the sr for me. It droped right in. The gear selector linkage had to be rethreaded to make it longer for correct lineup. There's not a lot of info. on a s14sr to s14 swap. My installer has some problems with the wiring. The a/c from the ka will not line up on the sr.You must make a bracket and have the low pressure line redone to use the ka compressor. If you have a sr compressor the high pressure will fit but the low pressure line is smaller.I have a koyo rad with electric fans. A transmission cooler.Stock intercooler and piping. Walbro fuel pump. I'm running a 3 inch dp test pipe/res. and a 3 inch catback. I'm making 8psi with this setup. The turbo seem to spool fairly quick to 6psi and slows to max out at 8psi. The stock recir. valve seem to bleed alot. When the car shifts I get boost spike to 10psi and then the wastegate opens droping boost to 6psi. The turbo then respools. This kinda sux. I just installed a boost controller and increased the boost to 10psi. It really made a big difference. It spools fast now, still boost spikes during the shift. But doesnt seem to fall off as much and respools quicker. Off the line performance is a little weak due to the tip in retard but still much better than the ka. It seems to be faster if you don't floor it off the line. I just give it a little gas and she takes off making around 5psi and it pulls real nice. I G-teched my car by bringing up the cars rpms until the tires started to spins and let her go.I spun off the line sideways and ran a 15.07 1/4 mile. I'm sure it will run a high 14sec. 1/4 mile with a better launch. I'm happy with the power. I want to get it dyno tuned with a safc later. I'm running rich at wot. This maybe due the tps being screwed up. I'm not planning on raising the boost any higher. I want to keep the stock turbo/intercooler setup. I don't know how much power the transmission will handle. I don't want to kill it. I'm running syn.mobile one in it with the cooler located just opposite the stock turbo's intercooler. In front of the wiper bottle reserve. I removed the stock foglight for more airflow. It looks more aggressive with out the foglights anyway.
