sr20det ac ?

i did a search but cant find what i need to know so here goes... i have a 95 240 sx se, the ka is now dead so why replace it when i can swap it but i was told @ jhot in ga that the ac will not work, not at all i was going to get a blacktop "with the slanted back of valve cover" whatever he means by that. but i would like to have ac, cant i use the ac compressor that comes with the sr20 and change lines or something or what do i do.... thanks for your help
