If your gonna do all that your gonna wanna upgrade your headgasket and get ARP headstuds. I'm getting ready to do a similar setup and I think I'm gonna go with the same BC head parts and an HKS headgasket. Also you gotta think about a tune... I was gonna go with enthalpy. From what I read, with the turbo your looking at, you should be able to put down 300-350 with a good tune at about 16-18psi. Other people are probably gonna tell you about all the stuff you "might as well upgrade" while your at it but try not to listen to them or your pricetag will skyrocket. However, the headgasket and head studs are the essentials. As far as what cams to use I would read through the camshaft megathread if i were you, its very helpful.

what influenced your choice in the RS .86? You can make same amount of power from a .64 that would get you your hp goals and have nice spool. But then again im not a fan of the RS. I also have my head being built at the moment with all BC stuff, valves, 264 cams, springs/retainers. With your choice of cams 264's would be fine with any turbo capable off 300+. Research it though to see what people liked better or worked better for them but to be honest stage 1 264's will give a bigger turbo a nice power band and will get you those numbers. your biggest concern should be the tune, enthalopy is nice but why need squeeze extra power and get a dyno tune? but then again i just like getting the most out of my set up...

As general rule, for GT Series turbos, the larger the frame (A/R) the more top end the turbo will have as a trade off for lower end response and vice versa for smaller A/Rs.

i would go with the GT 2871R .64Rthis will have awesome response and better room for extracting more power out of it... at about 13 psi you should be hitting 300 whp with a good tune.

i am most likely going with this turbo and the tomei expreme manifold as it it design for more low to mid range torque!! FRsport.com is one of our sponsers and if you go under their specials and deals section the have a great turbo upgrade kit with tons of options!!

you are also gunna want to go with a high flow fuel pump

BTW read the article in the june 2008 issue of import tuner magazine its near the back the article is called "The Showdown" its about three popular turbo upgrades and which is better!!
