Hi am new here and I have a little question to my new water radiator.

I bought a CA18DET radiator for my 180SX and received the wrong SR20DET radiator for a 180SX.

Instead this one:

I received this one:

I know that the masses are the same and that I can use the same lower hose that the CA18DET radiator has. Is it possible to modify the original upper hose to fit this radiator? Have someone good pictures from a modified hose? I mean I saw that a long time ago here.

Do I think right, that this hose kit fits the S13 SR20DET radiator? It has 2 long silicon hoses and 1 short silicon hose. So it's normally impossible to fit the CA18DET radiator.

If they sent you the wrong one, why don't you send it back?

I wouldn't bother trying to make it work, if you keep a look out you might find someone who is doing an SR swap and has an aluminum KA radiator you can trade with.

Aside from having them give you the correct radiator (if they give you troubles, ask for one that will work with a KA24DE), you can make a cross pipe out of a hard pipe and 2 ninety degree radiator elbows. I believe you need something near a 1 1/4" outer diameter pipe.

Quote »If they sent you the wrong one, why don't you send it back?[/quote]It's not that easy. Our german SX community made a group buy and we bought nearly 100 parts for our cars in China. The radiators cost only 100 € / 155 $ and the quality is very good. The effort for a exchange would be too high.

I think I will do that, because the rest of the radiator fits perfect.
