Im pretty sure budweiser has a 14.1 on his s13 and his SR has stock boost and an FMIC. I think youd see the same on a S14

the s14 blacktop DOES have more hp than a s13 redtop or blacktop

that is due to a better turbo ( i think) and variable valve timing

Infamous was probably refering to 240sx2nr95's post where he says "redtop vs blacktop" I read that as "s13 redtop vs s13 blacktop". tho thats probably not what he ment..

Don't Red tops have more power possibilities in the long run because they have a high port head? Like the blacktop is only better if you are going to max out the stock turbo...

just a tid-bit :)

AN S14 IS AN S14...NOT AN S14 BLACKTOP.

i think there needs to be a clear understanding of that...

S13 Redtop sr20detS13 Blacktop sr20detS14 sr20dets15 sr20det

there was never a s14 redtop or s15 redtop, therefor the 'blacktop' designation is NOT needed when describing those motors, it will only lead to confusion...

Please please please people, start understanding that : )

dont confuse them by calling them blacktops...there is no s14

I didn't think it had the variable valve timing I thought that was just in the S15s. And I also thought (could be wrong) that only the S15s had a bigger turbo. I know the 14s have like 20 more horsepower than the 13 series though. I'd guess completely stock it would run like 13.9 or so if the 13s are running 14.1 stock.

I've seen a 13 run 14.2 stock w/ side mount and all, and I've seen an 18psi s13 run 13.2 (he was blowing his turbo because he didn't care cause he just ordered a new kit hah). So yea I'd say a stock 14 runs high 13s or low 14s depending on a variance of factors.
