Hi guys,I browsed through the threads and don't find any that could help shed light to my problem. I am currently facing a "Cold-Start-Problem" (i think). I find it very difficult to start the car first thing in the morning and when I left the car parked for > 4 hours. The starter cranks but the engine just won't turn over. I would need to crank it 6-9 times before the engine kicks in. Flooring the gas pedal only works occasionally. Once the engine starts up, subsequent start up is a breeze (until I park it for > 4 hrs or so).

NOTE: Being in Malaysia, the "cold" temp (approx.) here refers to the region of 26-29 deg

I have replaced the following (after reading from other forums and articles) - mostly DIY:a. Car Batteryb. Distributor Capc. Temperature sensord. New NGK BKR5EY Spark plugs e.Silicone 8mm spark plug cables f. Fuel filterg. Fuel pressure regulatorh. Fuel pumpi. Starterj. fuel hosesk 3 pcs of PCV air hosesl. K&N drop in air filterm. Engine Oil - Petronas Syntium (Fully Synthetic) 15W-50n Done consult II diagnostic... appears to be fine

I got it captured: http://jgsh77.multiply.com/vid...mptom

* Had tried choking it with at least 3 doses (bottles) of 3M fuel injector cleaners

Apart from the above, just luving it

hi buddy, oddly... I fail to locate an O2 sensor or any dangling harness which indicate there's one!!! I am puzzled till today? I removed the heat shield and I cannot see any O2 sensor . O/wise, it'll be on the list for sure.

Here are some shots of the engine bay (before clean up...urrghhh!!! look away!! ); sorry not entirely in the right angle... will try to get some this w/end

There's an O2 bung in the Jpipe, if I recall.

dropped by Nissan Service center, jacked up the car and the lad and myself did a thorough inspection... NO Oxygen sensor. We are both puzzled. He even showed me his manual and the part number of the O2 sensor... just strange. I don't think the previous owner did any mod as all looked stock. O2 sensor off the list I guess.

hi there! I have a nissan primera p10 with the same problem. the mechanics & the auto electricians couldnt diagnose the problem even with their diagnostics computer, so if there is a solution anyone can come up with I would be very keen to know!

Hi ya/all, After replacing almost everything there is, my cold start problem improved... now only occurs in the morning. My first start of the day. Last Sat I thought I would try some other petrol (apart from my loyalty to Shell Premium - RON97). I chose to load in 39ltr of Caltex Techron-Gold (RON97). My cold start is GONE!!! I has been a week now and the result is pretty consistent.

Not sure if it's applicable to you but it's case close for me.

Hope this helps.

Cheers!JG
