I work at a junkyard with 2 engines from a 97 and 98 200sx now Is there much different between the japan sr20s?

Do you want to know if the US FWD SR20DE's are the same as JDM 4/FWD SR20DE's or whether they are similar to JDM RWD SR20DE's?

ok so the U.S sr20 de are fwd then ok i thought they would be RWD like the japanesse version of sr20 but yea are the engine about the same. Like if i need a part for a RWD sr20det could i get a part off the sr20de FWD us one cause i get Good discounts for parts at my yard.

Only some of the parts like the timing chain. Things like the oil pump, water pump, alternator, ps pump, etc are not interchangeable.
