my 5th gear in the stock transmission just went out and i know there are many options for replacing it but i was wondering if anyone knew where i could get a hold of a transmission for it because no junkyards carry my 94 se-r

Welcome to NICO!

Avoid 91-94 SE-R transmissions, the 5th gear will just go out on them too.

Grab one out of a 95-98 200SX SE-R, 98-99 Sentra SE-L, 00-01 Sentra SE, or 95+ G20.

will the holes mount up and all...and is it a 200sx se-r transmission that will work? one last thing is it just any normal 00-01 sentra se?

Yes, they will mount up. Yes, 200SX SE-R. "Normal" Sentra SE's have a non-LSD transmission, performance package ones have an LSD, either way they fit. There was no SE-R model 00-01, and the 02+ SE-Rs have QR25s instead of SR20s, so they use different transmissions altogether.

Similarly, only Touring model G20s had LSDs.

i have a few more questions sorry but i just have a long trip to take the first of june and need to get it running for cheap. do you know of any sites to get a transmission for cheaper? will the sylvia transmissions fit up by any chance? and last would it solve the 5th gear problem if i get a 5th gear pop outkit ?

I'm not sure what the 5th gear pop out kit includes, but if it replaces the source of the problem then it should work.

240SX/Silvia transmissions will not work, the SE-R engine is transversely rather than longitudinally mounted. That's not to mention that they'd be more expensive anyway (well Silvia ones at least.... actually KA24E/DE 240 transmissions bolt up to RWD SRs anyway, but that's inconsequential in this case).

I can't say I know of any sites to get them cheaper. Between all of those vehicles there should be plenty in junkyards, so I wouldn't think that there's any reason that prices would be high.

You could Google for junkyards, often they're in networks, so they might have one they can send in from elsewhere.

the 5th gear kit will fix your problem you can get them from a few places i believe jwt sells one an also jgycustoms

I hope you're mechanically inclined to start swapping things out within the transmission. I went through 3 trannies in my 200sx. I just found it easier to swap the entire thing rather than working within the case.
