Hello, This is my first posting here, so greetings everyone! I live in Finland. I have just bought a 1989 M11 Nissan Prairie / Axxess AWD with CA20S engine. I bought it because it has ATTESSA AWD automatic transmission. I drove the car home and decided that I am going to keep it. It is a rusty pile of junk, but I liked the AWD. The car has serious performance problem because of its 91 hp CA20S engine. US version had 140 hp KA24 engine. Somebody offered me about 190000 miles (!) driven engine with ecu box and the cables from 1991 Nissan Primera egt with manual transmission for about 500 usd. It is a 150 hp version of SR20DE. Can I just replace CA20S with SR20DE?

As far as I know, M11 Axxess is one of the few or the only imported source for ATTESSA AWD in the North America. Has anyone tried if SR20DE engine bolts directly on it? I know that Nissan N14 Sunny/Pulsar GTi-R had ATTESSA + SR20DET combination.

---Disclaimer: I do make errors in seplling and garmmatics.

You know, I've been wondering the same for years now.I've been wanting to build a 4WD Stanza Wagon rally car, probably with an AWD SR20DET.

The CA18DET will bolt directly to the stock trans, but the SR won't. I've been thinking that maybe the AWD trans that comes with the AWD SR20DET's might work with the M10/M11 4WD chassis, but never found out for sure.

You might want to upgrade the R180 rear end too, or pick up an LSD from a Subaru STI WRX.

It may work, may not, depending on the ratio of the rear end. You sure the priarie isn't a Nissan Stanza? They came with the CA20 over here...and yes the CA18DET will bolt right up, but you'll WANT to swap it over to manaul as the automatic will die shortly.

The Stanza is U12 here, M10/M11 Prairie is the Stanza Wagon and Axxess Van.
