well, time to turbocharge...step 1: first I want to drill and tap the stock positions and use the stock oil/coolant lines on this T25 I am getting, it's from an s13 redtop. If someone could give a pic of their sr20det without the exhaust manifold, like the one I have taken of my sr20de, it would help a lot. Maybe this thread will become a sticky, a lot more people are getting sr20de, and they will be wanting to upgrade one day too.
I found this webpage, http://derwin.910bluebird.com/SR20DE.htm, my pic looks the same except the oil feed has been drilled a little ways, I didn't do it it was like that, from the factory I guess?
A pic of sr20det oil/coolant hole positions would help me confirm the correctness of this site!
the bolt just below the coolant hole they are tapping in the pic is coolant! I unscrewed it and it is coolant, so why drill/tap??? when my t25 gets here it might have the banjo bolts with it and then I can see if it will fit.
BTW, quick overview of my project:
I am going to max out a T25 and purple injectors on my sr20de. I am NOT going to take the engine apart at all, not even change the head gasket! when it fails then I will rebuild. I got the engine out today and on the engine stand. exhaust mani is off. the oil had gas in it, hope it hasn't been like that for too long, didn't drive it too much between the last change and now.
I will be slowly adding parts this winter: purple 370cc injectors, FPR, external pump, fuel cell etc., apex'i neo, wideband o2 sensor/controller, MSD ignition parts, redtop T25, stainless exhaust mani, divided chamber exhaust outlet, custom 2.5" down pipe to match existing 2.5" exhaust, FMIC, BOV(recirced), greddy style intake mani, pulleys, flywheel, clutch. I'll probley wield the diff. this is not a daily driver anymore, I've decided to make it strickly a race car! drifting and dragging for starters. http://s196.photobucket.com/al...x_10a/
