theres a rwd sr20de and i saw a post somewhere and they put a turbo on it with tapping into the block in factory locations is there a way to put the turbo on without tapping the block?

The FWD SR has a boss on the block that must be tapped for oil return. To my knowledge the RWD SR can be tapped at the pan. However, why would you get a RWD SR20DE when the DET is so readily available?

thanks and ive got an s14 sr20det already in my 96 so for my 89 do somethin diff. see how it performs and you can pick them up a little cheeper.

No it's the SR head that taps, not the block.

if your goin turbo anyways y not just get a CA?

n/a SRs are best left N/A imho.... they can be nice daily drivers and you will get alot less attention from cops

well be that as it may cops are the last thing i worry about with my 89 my rhd gets that job done plus my 89 is just another toy i dont need a daily driver lol

If it's for the sake of doing something different and doesn't need to be DD'd, why not do a more interesting swap like an RB, a V8, or play with the KA?

everyone does thoes no one messes with these and im wanting to make it the aces edition they have that sr but not turboed.
