SR20DE oil level???? HELP

ok so im sure there is a bunch of topics on how much oil goes in an sr20de but that not my question i know it takes 3 5/8Q to fill it but my problem is i just changed my oil even did a motor flush to flush out any sludge that could be in there....so i put 2.4 quarts in it and its above the full line it up to the little bend in the dipstick!! Now idk about this engine or anything i didnt put it in the previous owner did my question is could it be that the dip i have is the wrong dipstick?? has anyone else had this problem? please help idk what to do and if i have enough oil in it

Did you replace the oil filter? If so fill it with 4 qts and crank it.

You check oil level after the car is cranked, warmed up and then turn it off and let it sit for 10-15 mins, then check the level.

yes replaced filter i put 2.4 in it because when i had it changed by a shop before this change they put 4 quarts in and ended up draining it all out and ended up being full on the dip at 2.4 quarts idk im scared to put to much in....do u think i should put the rest in and check it again

you need to be positively sure you have the correct dipstick....someone prolly replaced it with another thinking it was the same.

its a yellow dipstick can u measure how long ur dipstick is that would greatly GREATLY help thank you

please anyone ive heard the det dip is 19" from the bottom of the plastic handle idk if the sr20de is the same length im assuming it would be but idk any help

ok so to update i found the dip is the right one and once i let the car cool for about 15 minutes the oil settled and i got an accurate reading it took the 3 5/8 like it was suppose to
