sr20de oil filter on a ka24e

anyone know if the oil filter will fit from a sr20de to a ka24e.. i mean they are both nissan so why not.. i dont want to pull mine off until i get some feedback.. my current oil filter is hitting between my motr mount and the intake manifold.. so a friend gave me one from a sr20 shipped from japan thats like way smaller and will make clearance.. any help apreciated.. thanks

if it is from a rwd sr it will but if its from a fwd it will not. but why is you filter hitting. u must have the wrong one on there.

You should have a 55Y filter on there.

its not that i have the wrong filter its that im using the cars block and head but the trucks mounts and intake manifold.. so the problem comes where the oil filter screws on it should have the the truck version which it doesnt.. so the angle is different and smashes between the motor mount and intake manifold.. i know how to resolve it and itd be to get the truck part and smak it on there but i was trying to got the easy route and just stick a smaller filter on there that will make the clears like the sr20de one.. whats a 55y filter..???

a 55y is probably a stock nissan filter. but id say try and put the sr one on if it threads on good the its golden.
