First of all, I need to say that I have searched the forums and didn't quite find the answer I was looking for. This needed to be cleared up because usually the first thing you hear is a bunch of people yelling at you to search instead of helping.

That being said. I want to do an SR swap to my '90 S13, unfortunetly I'm not wealthy. I've found a local dealer selling SR20's n/a at a resonable price. My question is this. Will this fit into an S13, if so what kind of complications will arise. I assume I would also need the wiring harness, ecu etc. etc. My second question is how possible is it to turbo an n/a SR20? It would be a lot funner to me to build the motor from the ground up, plus I could buy parts gradually and put this thing together in my shop in my spare time.

These questions might seem stupid, but I assure you I searched and found a few good articles, I just wanted clarification. Any help is very appreciated. Is this a bad idea?

ps. This is the dealer i found

Thanks.....

That is a transverse engine and will NOT work. You'd have to import an SR20DE from the Silvia Q's (IIRC) which will still be expensive and be lame.

No problem. It is not impossible by any means and if you are looking to be unique then go for it. But if you are looking to make mid to high power I'd say to look elsewhere.

Edit: There is a write up on turboing an SR20DE on here. I'll go find it.zerothread/154751http://forums.nicoclub ... ?id=141252
