I just got finished replacing the raditor and hoses on my Sr20de that is in my 240sx.

Now the fun part.

It will not run right now.

I can start it up and let it run and its fine. I can do this over and over all day long. Then when I get in it and drive it around for a few minutes and come back and park it and try to turn it back on it will idel really rough cough sputter and shake the crap out of you. Then it dies. I try to restart it and it just turns but will not start up and run. If I pull the NEG. battery cable off for a few minutes and put it back on it will start up and run fine until I turn it off and try to start it again.

I am confused as to why it would be doing this, I checked the ECU and it comes up with 55. I have checked all the vacume lines and they seem to be in the right place. I had the battery checked it was good.

Can anyone suggest anything at all.

The only thing That isnt on the car that was before is this thing that was hooked to the lower radiator hose that went to the a/c fan. Here is a pic of it.

I was told Fuel pump and ECU.

So I swapped the ECU for another one and still same problems. As for Fuel pump it sounds kinda odd for it to work only after I pull the NEG. battery cable and let it set.

IF anyone has some other suggestions Then open to them. I am going to try to see if maybe something happen to the TB or something I had removed a vacume line off of it and was trying to fix a idel problem but then I put everything back when this started happening. So those cant be whats causing this.

Thank you

All that does is complete a connection. I used it on my Sr to turn the fans on too. Sounds like a temp problem--you didn't take you thermostat out did you?

Nope I left the thermostat in. I didnt change anything other than removing that thing and putting new hoses and radiator in.

Only other thing I had done was put a cap on the metal hose coming out of the top of the Thortal body. Which I removed right afterwards. and put the hose back that was there.
