i have a 1995 nissan 200sx se-r with the sr20de motor.i recently cracked the cylinder head and found a relatively inexpensive one from a company in florida.my question is...how difficult is it to install a new cylinder head?my plan was to use the chilton manual and attempt it myself but if its extremely difficult i wont make the attempt

First of all, you're from Sheboygan and that just makes me chuckle.

Second, for the transverse SR, it shouldn't be that difficult IIRC. The only forseen problem would be getting everything d/c'd from the old head and transferring or installing the parts onto it.

From 1-10, how would you rate your mechanical knowledge/experience?

You should be able to get it down with the Chilton's. They provide enough info for the job but sometimes you run into a problem that they don't cover. I can move this over to the transverse SR forum if you'd like and maybe you can get a better idea of what might be entailed.
