sr20de : 1/4 mile in 16.5 sec? 0-60 in 9 secs?

is this true? i was considering an sr20de swap, but then i saw this.. i think i should just keep my kaE until i can afford an sr20det. are these stats typical or did i just read a bad site? thanks.

shouldn't be that slow, even stock sr20det shoudl be at least in the high 14s range

i was referring to the sr20de non-turbo. i know the det should be a lot faster than that. i got the specs off this australlian site..

semes reasonable for a non turbosr, the ka24de runs a 16 to a 16.2 stock so a little less displacement would be a bit slower

Ive got a friend with an sr20de. He says the faster sr20de's are from 96 and up. If you get one thats older a ka24de is better.

I've got both an nx2000 and a ka24de in my 240 and the cars are both stock except no cat on either and exhaust I made for both.Both are 5 speeds and the cars are about equal on power,the 240 will pull the nx a little out of the hole but the nx cathes up and stays even by the end of second gear.I like the transmission in the nx better cause of the close ratios.I know this is apples and oranges caus eof the different cars but it gives you some idea.I would also say the 0-60 on both cars is close to 7.5 seconds.
