I'm just curious if anyone has a speed sensor from the KA and the SR laying around (preferably DE but it doesnt really matter) can you check the red gear on the end and see if they're very different?

i know that the SR20 speed sensor reads different than the KA24 but i was wondering if it's because of the gear or if it's the internals of the sensor itself.

Actually, the SR speed sensor is calibrated for kilometers and the KA is calibrated for miles.

no, this is a misconception. only the speedo is different. I have swapped them out in my car before just to dispell this myth.

DOOOOHHH!! Man all the trouble that I went through to just find a KA speed sensor, I had like 2 SR speed sensors in perfect condition that I threw out.

Oh theXfiend, like F150 says, yep, they are the same.

I have 1 from a KA24DE auto (same as manual). The plug has been cut. You need to solder your own plug. It does has red gear on it. I can sell it $20 shipped. Email me at [email protected] if interested

The Auto and manual speed sensors are NOT the same. I know because I did a auto to manual swap with my sr20det swap. This is a fact not my opinion.

Yes'm. I have both clusters, and one reads in km/hr while the other reads in mi/hr. I drove around with both.
