I don't think you'll have much luck. You'd need everything from a B14 to fit that B13 motor if properly and have it with all the proper function.

You could just put it in itself, get a B13 ECU and possibly harness and say you did an OBDI conversion.

If you were sent the wrong motor, whoever sent it to you should be willing to switch it out. It's definitely too much of a hassle to swap in that '93 motor if you can just get it exchanged.

Actually he can put an older SR into a newer G20/Sentra all depending on what year he is talking about. WE put a highport JDM SR into a 1995 p10(g20). All we had to do was extend the knock sensor wire, didn't hook up any EGR either. So under that preception, you could swap a highport sr into a 200sx se-r or 98-99 sentra se or se-l. Now a roller rocker car such as the p11 or 2000-2001 se would be a no go.

Hmm... good call, for some reason I was thinking it'd be as difficult as an RR.

There are only a few issues with the R.R. motor. Different size injectors, internal coil and ECU. But those 3 issues are too much of a headache to even try to pull off a highport/lowport swap.

this is sort of what i was thinking. Put a resistor so that it fools ECU in to thinking that it has EGR. then swap Throttle bodys since TPS are different and everything else if not plugs in can be extended to fit. And as far as EVAP emissions i can add a vacuum gallery to make all evap stuff functional.

RED_DET, whats P10 G20... it is still obd 1 or 2 i know some split in those years. If i tell you my production year will you be albe to help me and say weather this is P10 or not?

thanks for your help guys truly apreciate it!!

EDIT: and as far as returning it i really dont want to deal with it...i only paid 400 for it and its incredibly clean no gunk at all all silver no oil leaks i mean it looks as if it has 40k...and its from japan.

i thought IF worst comes to worst ill swap head off G20 SR on to my new SR block which is main reason i am replacing it(spun main bearings)

91-93 G20(P10) OBD I94-96 G20(P10) OBD II99-2002 G20(P11) OBD II/1999 G20 has non roller rocker motor.

You shouldn't have to swap throttle bodies, just the TPS.

Where did you get the motor?

i got it from Mokoto Engines. they supply engines for our shop also but i just got lucky on this one. I can get you a site if you need it (i cant remember now)

i noticed while looking at it outside that MY G20 does not have an external coil...but engien i got does(came with dist and coil).

its not going to be an issue swaping Internal coil dist out of G20 on to my new SR is it? I dont think it will since 240 KA's are same and i can switch them back and forth all day but i jsut wanted to make sure.

SO bottom line jsut to make sure i understand this correctly. Besides swpping TPS, Dist and extending some wires to reach high port SR's manifold i wont have any problems ?

Again thanks for your input you have no idea how happy i am that i wont have to reuse that gunked up head.

Just swap your old Distributor onto the new motor. You will have to extend the knock sensor wire, it runs from the injector harness to the back of the motor about dead center. Switch out TPS and don't forget to switch out the Temp Sensors. Red/Black over by the oil filter and AIC valve.

hey man i need your help agian...hopefuly last time.basicly i am haiving an enormous brain fart. i got everything in smooth. then i put it back up in the air and about to hook up shifter linkage then as i look at it, i only see a bracket for one of the shifter "bars". here is a pic of what i am talking about

there is only one bracket there to hook up only one of the two shifter bars. WTF happened to the other!?!?!? I pulled it out after 10hour work day so i can barely remember how everything came apart but i do know there should be another bracket for the bar that pullls back and forward. I am freaking out !!! if this bracket somehow fell off i am sure it was thrown away since shop floors were cleaned night after i pulled everything out.]

i hope this makes at least some sence to you

That bar should still be attached to the car. Which is attached to the shifter.

I normally run a cheap ebay filter. You can go with AEM or Injen. But they are not cheap.

I've always been afraid of ebay filters... I don't think K&N's are too expensive. And, as said above, there's AEM and Injen, and any other manufacturer who makes one in the right size.

i agree, its all about the budget but i was mainly refering to the intake pipe. if you remember 96G has that damn resonator on the intake piping and with Throttle body being so much lowr in high p0rt SR its impossible to make it fit and still look clean. ill try get a pic for you later on.

auto zone for the filter.

that's probably your best bet for something cheap that doesn't carry the sketchy quality of ebay.

Autozone sells a cheap Ebay-ish filter and K&Ns. I still say go K&N. The filter is such an important piece that I can't imagine scrimping.
