sr20 turbo problems and other weird problems

i have an s14 with an s14 sr20....first off, my turbo, it does not kick in untill like 5000rpms i also have the HKS wastegate actuator so my peak boost is 12psi when im chilling around 3000 rpms and i floor it it only goes up to 5 psi and then gradually goes up from there i dont under stand this. another problem im having is at idle some times the engines rpms drop down from 1000 all the way to almost 0 and revs back up and it will keep doing it untill i give it some gas and even then sometimes that doesnt even help and even sometimes the motor stalls out. and last when i give it gas it sounds like something is rattling near the throttle body i have no clue what that is its definitely one of those WTF? things lol

do u smell any exhaust leaks? that could be one reason for the lack of turbo response. about the idle problems i'd say it might be a vaccum leak somewhere in the system. check all hoses for signs of cracking or tears or cuts.
