My car sometimes coming out of cold start feels a little sluggish acceleration is just not there. Car sometimes backfires too.I think changing spark plugs will be a little better for the car. Is there any thing you guys can suggest to me.also do you guys smell oil after spooling your turbo for a bit? Is there any solutions to this. Also i can smell fuel coming from my walbro fuel pump sometimes, i also dont have a back seat. Its just that this stuff makes me smell like it after i drive it around!

I would highly suggest letting the car warm up before you start driving it. Its good for the engine and the turbo. I wait at least until the temp needle begins to move which is approximately 3 minutes from cold start.

You sluggishness could be caused by the weight of your oil, since the oil properties change once the car is running warm.

Toledo, you may want to replace the large o-ring that sits between the sender unit and the fuel tank. Mine was old and stretched and leaked gas vapors into the cabin. It was like 7 or 8 bucks dealership. Also you may want to check over your fuel lines and replace them too.

If you have the smell of burning oil after running the car, keep your motor running a minute or two after you give it a run and let the oil cool down your turbo and let the oil cool down. Possibly invest in a oil cooler. Do you have any puddles of oil on your turbo or worse yet, in that would make the smell a bit more obvious?

tune up with the sr, change the plugs for sure. I didn't like the idea of using the plugs my motor came with so I changed them to NGK Iridium IX's. Check the timing also. This should have been done at the time of the install or after any valvetrain work is done. That could be the answer to your sluggishness.

Is it generally good to run the hotter plugs, like the iridium?

I used NGK BKR5EIX-11 and reduced the gap by just a hair to get it close to the oem recommended gap of 0.036" instead of the 0.044" the -11 gives.

Use the recommended stock heat range unless you've a very good reason not to aka bumped up power. I think the formula was like for every 100 extra ponies, increase one heat range or something like that. Anyone else able to verify that?
