sr20 transmission problem

i just bought my 240, and it had a sr20 swap right before i got it. the previous owner installed an Exedy stage 2 clutch. it drove fine for a cpule of weeks, and then started to grind really bad, even when the clutch was in, or it was in neutral. i tested this for myself, and the only way to stop this is to shut the car off. turn it back on, and its fine for about a minute. i need someones help to figure out this problem!! what is making it grind?

You better find a KA transmission and do the bell housing swap because it sounds like yours is junk. I got my KA transmission for $150 and it took about 6-8 hours to do the swap.
