I noticed a few drops of transmission oil where my drive shaft and transmission connect after every drive. My homie thinks it is leaking from the shift boot, he tells me to get a new shifter. I'm using the old KA shifter which feels like spaghetti. So is this possible? Will buying a short shifter make a difference and stop this leak? I need to buy one anyway... like I said the old shifter feels like crap.

Man this swap is expensive... my rack and pinion seals also blew out and now I leak power steering fluid like crazy.. *sigh

Tell your "homie" to lay off the weed. You need a new rear oil seal for your transmission. If you want a different shifter then get one, but your oil drip problem is the seal needs to be replaced.

Why did you put "homie" in quotations? Are you saying my "Homie" is non-existent or maybe you don't like the word "homie"? How about "bro", or "dude", or what about "buddy"? You probably like that last one. lol Well anyway I replaced both. I hate leaks. XD

Glad your problem is fixed. I used quotes cause I was referring to the exact homie that you were talking about.

lol k, I was just messin around anyway. It's hard to express what your saying when you can't hear it. Anyway, now I need to repair my rack and pinion now.. I'm thinking this is the cause of my new high speed steering wheel vibration too. Man I miss my 350Z. Newer cars rarely have any issues. Older cars need a lot of love n care. Good thing I love my 240! Plus no car payments is a big plus.
