an sr can do it, but to be safe it takes a lot of money. if you can afford it, you might as well go rb25.

RB powerband will be better for 450whp. SR is easy to get there too. Just takes money but so does the RB. Ive got both the SR and RB25 and there insanely fun. I had my SR first and now its built with a 2871R .86 turbo. I just got the RB25 last week. My plan is to do a TS GT30R on the SR and put the 2871R on the RB. Both cars will be over 400whp and have crazy response for the street.

hmmm sr20

850cc injectors - $500fuel rail - $450walbro fuel pump - $80Fuel Pressure regualer - $125Power FC EMS - $800264 cams - $350in/ex cam gears - $240Head gasket - $200Head studs - $130Rocker Arm Stopper - $100valve springs and retainers - $250GT 2871R - $1100Manifold - $1000FMIC - $500

for a total of $5825

AND if you want to be safepistons - $500Rods - $400 plus other **** i am forgeting

for a total of $900

for a grand total of $6725

Now this is for all new parts without really shopping around just to give you an idea and if you did all the work yourself. Really IMO it would come to about $8000 finished up if you did all the work.

SR's are pretty easy to get to that level but you definitely won't want to DD at that level because it won't last. Anyways shipping to the above list would add about $200 if you got the parts in say 3 bundles. Although $1000 for a manifold is kind of steep. An excellent manifold, the tomei expreme retails for around 560 and has free shipping. A front mount can be pieced together for around $350 and cam gears can be left out IMO.

hmmm...including the price of the motor for me right around $10k. that includes my build of the motor as well. and it still doesnt run, in fact it has to be rebuilt again lol.

pistonsrodshead studst3 turbotop mountcustom plumbingwideband 022mm head gasketboost controllerSAFCvalvesprings and retainersand a few other odds and ends is what i put into it, not saying you necessarily NEED all that, but if you want a lot of power, **** will break guranteed. do it right the first time. i should have listened to my own advice from the beginning lol

oh yeah, the one thing you will DEFINATELY need is a LOT of patience.

You'd probably be fine with 810ccs or maybe even 740s. There's plenty of people running 450ish set ups with stock fuel rails and those injectors.

Its hard to say just how "bullet proof" motors are going to be under extreme conditions, Building a 450+RWHP SR20DET is always possible (Some people are making 500+RWHP) but the fact of it surviving are still slim, I mean obviously your going to need to boost the car pretty hard and building everything right will increase your chances of having the motor healthy for quite sometime. Make sure you have money to build it right the first time or else its gonna cost you twice the second time around.

yea man iv been building my sr for a very long time well only a couple monthes but i have around 7000 just in upgrades and machine work and the whole 9 yards. ill have around 425-450whp with the stock exhaust manifold and my gt3071r. the main thing is letting it breath, as in match the ports, get a throttle body and greddy intake manifold, that is a huge plus, im using 480cc or 550cc injectors and i made a methenol injection kit and i will be fine for DD sr with 400whp. and i went with crower 272 cams becuase its all about flow. if you dont have flow you need to crank the boost up to force all that exhaust out and intake in. and dont be like them people cranking the boost to like 25 psi and **** just to make hp. im gunna be running around 15, you want your max efitioncy (sry i dont know how to spell with d!ck) becuase when you start getting to more boost motor gets more stressed and hotter which means less hp. every 7 degrees you cool the air down you get 10% more hp. if you need anything else feel free to e mail me.

the gt30**r is not even close to its efficiency range at 15psi.your boost pressure does not push air out of your combustion chamber. learn to use spell check
