Sr20 tach hook up

I have sr20det redtop and trying to hook up my tach(autometer brand) but i can't make it work. On that number 3 pin out that says tach signal, I spliced it right there but still don't work. Let me know pls....thanks in advance! :frown:

The stock one not big enough?? :tisk:

Either way, it looks like you're using the right wire... Are you getting power, or just no signal?

Actually it's in the 510 so I don't have a tach....tach installed properly. Everything works fine, got power but just don't work in this tach,I'm pretty sure the tach is working. I heard if I'll use bliz,or any japanese tach will work with no problem. I might going to change it then if i can't make this one work. Thanks anyway..

My apologies... It tends to be annoying when you see people with 240s (which already have huge tachs right in the middle of the cluster, mind you) with huge tachs sitting on their dash.
