thanksgiving week im doing an SR20 swap in my 96 S14, and i was just thinkin what would be better. s14 or s15 swap? im leaning towards the s14 but the 6 speed sounds super attractive. i could always put the extra money into an upgraded turbo and a few other things. im just torn, any help on deciding would be awesome!!! :dblthumb:

I heard the 6 speed doesn't take abuse that well.

Six Speed trannies tend to break on S15's when putting a load on it. Swap it out with a S14 transmission. Good luck on your S15 Swap! :bigthumb:

Plenty of people hear that but don't know the guys who break them first hand, granted its a 5 speed with another gear crammed in it. I like newer vs older when it comes to motors, and if the trans goes..... no bigger you can bell swap for a 5 speed..... only thing bad about the S15 trans is there is no speed sensor on it. So you gotta get crafty
