Hey guys I got the idea of putting an SR20 T28 on my RB, since the stock turbo is a POS and cant go above 12psi without blowing up.

So I was thinking, my friends still making power on 17psi on his SR20 T28, and hes gt a spare, think id gain anything going from an RB turbo at 12psi to an SR T28 at 17psi?

Thanks!

Bottom line, they have different exhaust flanges and will not bolt up to each other.

yeah...i was gonna say, i've been running 1 bar for over a year without issues and when i was in europe 80% of the skylines there with stock turbos were running 17 psi for long periods without issues. i'm a true believer that tune has everything to do with how well the stock turbo's hold up

I know the exhaust flanges arent the same, and I know some turbo lines might need to be modified aswell as intercooler piping and exhaust. This isnt my first ball game guys.

16psi on a stock RB25 turbo? Damn....

I wodner if Id be able to get away with doing that with the higher altitude in Colorado, and my 4" exhaust.

It may not be your first rodeo, but you're asking for it when you suggest putting a t2 flanged turbo on a 2.5l engine. How do you plan on mounting it to your manifold anyways, I'm not sure if they make an adapter for those sizes?

The question is will the rb25 exhaust housing bolt onto the sr20 exhaust side of the center cartridge. Or will an rb20 rear housing work on the sr20 center cartridge.

Your better off getting a T3 from a l28et or a VG30ET if you want a nissan turbo.

I know the RB20 turbo is a t3 flanged T25/8 but I thought the RB25 was a straight t3- since the Z31/L28 share pretty much the same turbo.

well hu da F=+* said it a t28 with a t3 flange?????? its not lol t25s and t28s are made by garret...rb turbos are not they are made by nissan...its a rip off of a garret t3 and nissan used a ceramic shaft instead of garrets inconel shaft...big mistake thats y they snap...as far as im aware the rb25 and rb20 use the same s*** small exhaust wheel and small housing and the difference is that the rb20det has a small intake housing and a small alloy wheel and the rb25 has a much larger intake housing and a composite plastic wheel which doesnt like alota boost either......

No, it's got a different exhaust housing (which is way to big compared to the compressor side). That turbo sucks in stock form. To much lag for not enough power.
