The center piece (where the oil and coolant lines go into) is supposed to rotate. Well, after loosing the 4 bolts on the exuast side... it wont rotate seperatly from the center piece, nor does it want to come apart. Am i missing another piece to hold them in? Or maybe they are just kinda siezed together.

anyone else get this problem?

You need to rotate the compressor housing (the silver part). You shouldn't need to mess with the exhaust side. It's held in with a large snap ring. You need to compress the ring with a very large pair of snap ring pliers and just turn the housing. How long it takes is directly relative to how beefy your snap ring pliers are. I used some of these:

Hitec #65. They cost about $35 but they made it a snap. (No pun intended, hehe.)

rotateing the compresser isnt hard. but the oil and coolant lines are not lined up. I must rotate the unit so the lines will fit. as it is, mounted to my manifold.. none of the lines will fit.

Snap rings arnt a problem, i already moved that

When I clocked mine, I loosened the 4 bolts on the turbine housing and rotated it with ease. Loosen the bolts, not remove them. Worked like a charm for me with no problems.

This will work if your exhaust housing and CHRA arent seized. For example, when i took apart my ca t25 i got to the four bolts and i couldnt move it at all. It rusted up and i had to use wd40 and eventually a torch to seperate the two. They were stuck pretty good but i kept heating it and tapping it out with a rubber mallet. Eventually it came out but you could see where it was rusted together. I put the turbo back together and this time around i put a little bit of anit-seize on the part where the two meet, just enough to preven this from happening again.

I just took it off my manifold and took my lines off, then got the snap ring off, and turned that biatch.

took it to work today, used a torch and a hammer. had it in a vyce and tried turning the exuast houseing apart from the center... no good still couldnt budge!

dam thing is siezed up something fierce.

Guess since i cant get it to move im gonna have to get new lines for my oil since the old ones arnt long enuf and are at wrong angles.
